How to Set Default Browser on Your Android Mobile Phone?

Many of the android users are still looking for an option to set their favorite browser as the default browser to bypass the popup asking each time while opening a link. Most of the Android Mobile comes with OEM’s browser as the default one, For example Stock android phones comes with Google Chrome as the default browser.

In this case, if you are looking for an alternative for chrome browser on if you didn’t set the default browser, there will be a popup appearing each time while a link was opened. Then from the popup list, you have to choose the browser you would like to open the link. But in case if you have set the default browser earlier, you will not have to select from the popup. You will be taken automatically using the default browser.

Even though in this case, sometime we may have to change the default browser, it can be set only from the settings area. In this post, we will look into it and will show you how this can be achieved.

Step 1: Goto the settings area in the Mobile

Step 2: Click on the Apps list or Application manager as per the phone option.

Step 3: Click on the Settings icon on the top of the screen.

Step 4: Click on the Default Apps option from the list.

Step 5: Then click on the Browser App.

Step 6: Now, you will see a popup with the list of installed browsers on your phone. Tap on your favorite one to set it as the default one.

Done, now all the links will be automatically open using that browser.
