Mi A2 Lite was one of the four Android One devices from Xiaomi. The budget smartphone device was up to date with major and the monthly update always.
Mi A2 Lite already receives all the three major Android updates, including Android 8, 9, and 10. But still, the device is receiving monthly security updates without any delays.
However, some users who updated the device to version 11.0.02 are still facing a major update issue. v11.0.02 was the primary release of the Android 10 version for Mi A2 Lite users and was rolled out at the beginning of 2020.
However, Xiaomi pulled back the update soon after the release after spotting some major bugs, and version 11.0.04 was released, and later on, the monthly update went on as usual.
But those who already updated to 11.0.02 was stuck in that particular version and was unable to update further. The system is always showing error while updating. So, in short, there is no direct OTA update for those.
Here we are explaining how to get out of version 11.0.02 and to fix the stuck update issue.
Solution for Mi A2 Lite Update Stuck Issue on v11.0.02
Here we are updating version 11.0.2 to V11.0.10.0
Step 1: Download The OTA version for V11.0.10.0 from the official website (link below)
Step 2: Copy the OTA file In the SD Card (Memory Card)
Step 3: Go to recovery mode by pressing the power button and the volume up key for 5 seconds.
After that, You will see the “No Command” screen. Hold the power button again, press the volume up button for two seconds, and then release it.
Step 4: In the recovery window, you will get several options. From that, select the option “Apply Update From SD Card” and select the OTA file from the SD card.
Now, the system will verify the update and installed it on the device. It will take some time.
Step 5: Once completed, reboot the device.
Now the Mi A2 Lite is updated to version 11.0.10.0.QDLMIXM, and you can go to the settings and updates to check for any future updates.
Since the device is now out of version 11.0.02, all the further monthly updates can be installed without any issue.
Also, note that updating the version using the OTA file as mentioned above, will not erase your phone, and no data get lost from your device. However, it is recommended to keep a backup of your valuable data before doing the procedure.
