WhatsApp recently upgraded its voice and video call feature by doubling the participants. Now WhatsApp will allow you to add a total of 8 participants to the group call. Earlier, the popular VoIP service was allowing a maximum of 4 people in a group call. Now the company increased the limit to 8.

WhatsApp was always in the front row in the case of an update, and the company is making a timely update on its popular messaging application. We can see in recent times Facebook-owned company has introduced Dark Theme support, Media Hide from Gallery, Finger Print authentication, etc.

It is also to be noted the company made this must needed upgrade during the coronavirus lockdown. Since most of the countries are in the lockdown and a large number of people are working from home now. The need for group calls and meetings is increased to a large extend, and since the maximum participant was four earlier, WhatsApp was not useful too in that case.

To compensate that and to get more people towards WhatsApp for the official meetings, the company introduced the feature now. Now user can add a maximum of 8 participants to the group call either voice or video call. The feature is now started rolling out to all the users, and you are still missing this critical update, then head on to Google Play Store or Apple App Store and update your app now.

If the update is still missing for you, then no need to worry, the company started the rollout recently only and was done in phases. The update reaches every user in the coming days.
