Recently, there are two famous and reliable service providers Jio and Airtel started to roll out a new technology – VoWiFi or simply WiFi Calling in select cities and also only to select smartphones in India which means you can make calls via WiFi. VoWiFi is similar to VoLTE but it uses the WIFI network to make calls instead of 4G. VoWiFi service is a Wi-Fi-based VoIP service which is mainly designed to work smoothly on wireless devices such as PDAs or laptop. By using this great VoWiFi technology, you are going to make outgoing calls even when there is no strong cellular connectivity or low signal. It is purely designed to handle indoor network gaps as several telecom operators find it very hard to get easy approvals for Right of Way and site approvals in residential areas.
