First Generation Moto G smartphone is now getting Android Lollipop 5.1 Update after a long gap. Motorola is now rolling out the Android 5.1 Lollipop update to the 1st generation Moto G smartphone too. To download the latest update, go to Settings, About phone, check for update, download the update, and Install.
How to Update Moto G Smartphone to the latest Android
Moto G, 1st generation, was the older and the primary smartphone in the G Series. The device is not compatible with the latest Android, like Android 10 or 9. The latest compatible version of the Android version for Moto G 1st Generation device is Lolipop 5.1.1.
To update, Goto setting > About Phone > Check for Update. If the update was available, Download and Install it.
Moto G Still Worth?
Motorola released a number of the new model under the G series. However, Moto G’s 1st generation was a discontinued variant, and you can’t buy a new phone now. However, since the device came with near Stock Android, it still performs well. With its limited RAM and Storage, you may find some new apps with incompatibility issues. But still, it performs well for basic needs.
