Issues with Jio’s international Roaming

While using Jio SIM in the international location, we experienced a lot of issues in the beginning. Initially, the same issue was there for most of the users. In the first few days, the service seems to be fine and both incoming and outgoing facility was working. Later, the signal disappeared one morning.

The main issue was due to the connectivity and it is not being registered to the partner network. We spent about 2 weeks to get this sorted and the experience with Customer care was not at all good. We shared our experience in our previous article and you can check that for more details. The only good thing was the issue got resolved after a series of conversations.

The issue that we faced, was not a special case, we got messages from a lot of people mentioning the same from different locations. Also, things didn’t finish yet. For the past few months, some other issues being reported.

The SIM is active and you can make calls, can use data and able to send SMS, no issues at all. But when someone tries to call you on your Jio number, they cannot reach you. They are getting a message saying ‘The number is being switched off’. Thus the new issue is causing an incoming issue in which you might miss some calls. The issue is strange in which it will work seamlessly sometime, whereas not in some cases.

We already reported the issue with the customer care and waiting for the reply and to get it resolved.

Conclusion

As said in the beginning, Jio is the cheapest network in India and somehow in the world which provides the IR service. But, at the same time, we need a good network also. There is no meaning in paying the amount and not getting service. So in terms of service, we cannot say that Jio is the best network who provides IR services.

If you are the one who needs to receive and make important calls using your number, then as of now, Jio will not be a good choice. You can use Jio number, but for safety, make sure to keep another SIM card such as Airtel or Vodafone with you. Considering the services, both Airtel and Vodafone offer the best consistent service all the time.
