Unmute Muted Instagram Stories From Dashboard or the Home Page
You can unmute already muted Instagram stores from the Instagram app home page. To do so, follow the below steps.
Step 1: Open the Instagram app on your Android or iOS mobile.
Step 2: You can see all the Instagram stores listed at the top of the screen from the homepage. You can swipe left and right to see the next and previous stories.
Step 3: Swift left and scroll towards the end of the list. You will see all the muted profiles in Grey colour.
Step 4: Tap on the story that you wish to unmute. Now, you will see the muted story of that user.
Step 5: Now, from the screen, click on the menu icon (3 dots) at the top right of the screen.
Step 6: Now, a popup will appear at the bottom of the screen with some options.
Step 7: Click on the Unmute Story option. Done. Now, the story is unmuted, and you will see all the stories of the user as usual.
Unmute Instagram Stories from User Profile Page
Another option to unmute the stores of an Instagram user is from the profile page. To unmute someones Instagram stories from the profile page, follow the below steps.
Step 1: Open the Instagram app and find the profile you wish to unblock.
Step 2: Visit the profile page of the user that you wish to unmute.
Step 3: On the profile page, you can see two buttons, “Following” and “Messages”. Click on the Following button.
Step 4: A popup with some options will appear at the bottom of the screen.
Step 5: Tap on the Mute option. Another popup will appear with all the muted categories like Posts, Stories, and Notes.
Step 6: You can see the muted category as enabled and others disabled. Tap on the muted type, like the Stories, to turn it off.
Done. Now, you can go back to the previous homepage and unmute the stories of that user.
Now, you will continue seeing the stories of that particular user in the stories section. Another advantage of updating it from the profile page is that you can mute and unmute posts, stories, and notes from a single page.
