How TechRounder handles your information.
TechRounder collects only the minimum information needed to run the tools and respond to help requests. This page explains what is collected, why, and how it is handled.
Last updated: June 2025
What information is collected
TechRounder collects information in two situations:
- Tool inputs — When you use a diagnostic tool, you provide information such as a URL, domain name, hardware specification, or service description. This information is used to generate the tool result and is not stored beyond the current session unless explicitly noted.
- Contact form submissions — When you submit a help request via the contact form, your name, email address, and message content are stored so the request can be reviewed and responded to.
How tool inputs are handled
Most diagnostic tools on TechRounder process the inputs you provide and return a result within the same session. Inputs such as URLs, domain names, and hardware details are used only to generate the output you see on screen.
Tools that run entirely in your browser — such as the MemoraCipher Orbit password studio and the Linux Command Atlas — process all data locally on your device. Nothing you enter in those tools is transmitted to TechRounder servers.
For tools that require a server-side request (such as domain lookups or redirect chain checks), the submitted input is sent to TechRounder's backend to generate the result. These inputs are not retained after the result is generated.
Contact form data
If you submit a request using the contact form, the following information is stored:
- Your name and email address
- The content of your message
- Any additional context you provide, such as a website URL or tool context selection
This information is used solely to review your request and respond to it. It is not shared with third parties, sold, or used for any marketing purpose.
Cookies and analytics
TechRounder does not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels. If analytics are in use, they are limited to aggregate, anonymised traffic data (such as page views and general traffic sources) for the purpose of understanding which tools are most useful.
No personally identifiable information is associated with analytics data.
Third-party services
Some tools make requests to third-party APIs or DNS lookup services to retrieve publicly available data (such as DNS records, HTTP headers, or redirect chains) for a submitted domain or URL. These requests are made using the domain or URL you provide, not using any personal information about you.
TechRounder does not share your personal data with any third-party services.
Data retention
Contact form submissions are retained for as long as is reasonably necessary to manage the corresponding help request. If you would like your submitted data removed, contact us at [email protected] and it will be deleted.
Tool session data is not retained after the session ends.
Your rights
You have the right to request access to any personal information TechRounder holds about you, request correction of inaccurate information, or request deletion of your data. To make any such request, contact us at [email protected].
