FreeCharge is a popular online payment service in India now offers a lot of services including Mobile Recharge, Landline Bill Payment, other bill payments including Electricity, Water etc. Recently the company started services in which users can use FreeCharge for offline payment too such as stores like Shoppers Stop, McDonalds, Cinepolis, HomeStop, Crosswords, Hypercity and even for E-Rickshaws.
Now they introduced a new service in India in association with YES Bank, a Virtual Debit Card called FreeCharge Go. Now free charge users can create their free virtual card which can be used as like the normal debit card for all the online payments within India. The new service is a very useful tool for most of the users which provides them a tension free usage. The benefit of a Virtual card is that its safe, since you can use the Virtual card for all online payment, where you do not have to use your Original Bank Debit card.
Most people are afraid of using their physical card for payment, since if anything happen bad, all the money may loose, here its a best solution. With a virtual card, you just load amount you needed for the payment into the card, and use it, your physical card is safe.
FreeCharge card also comes with all the security like PIN number, OTP verification and you can even block your card too.
Check how to create a Free Virtual Card
Step 1. Goto FreeCharge website https://www.freecharge.in and create an account there, if you already have one, just login to the account.
Step 2. In the dashboard, go to the account section
Step 3. In the account section, you can see a menu with a credit card icon saying Go, click on that. This option will let ypu to create a new Virtual Card.
Step 4. In the next section, they will ask you to create a pin (MPIN), enter the pin and confirm, note, this is the PIN card of your card, like the one in normal card, so please remember it.
Step 5. Done, your new card is created, now you can see the card with number, validity and CVV code.
Now add money to card and use it for your online payments. Also note that, the money available in your FreeCharge account (Main Balance) will be reflected in the card also, so for card, you do note need to load money separately. The total money available will be common and which can be used for both FreeCharge payment and card payments.
You can view your card also in FreeCharge Mobile application also, goto the profile section and enter your PIN, that’s it.
How to use the Card for Payments?
- Shop on any website like flipkart, amazon, snapdeal, paytm and proceed to checkout.
- Choose credit card gateway.
- Enter 16 digit number of your FreeCharge Go card & M-pin.
- Verify otp which is sent to your registered mobile number.
- Congrats! Your payment was done using FreeCharge Go Card.
