Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) published the 4G data speed of each network in India for the month of March 2019. Reliance Jio again kept its position as the fastest 4G mobile network in India. For the past few months, Jio was always the fastest network and this time the telecom had achieved an average download speed of 22.2 Mbps, making Airtel to the second position
Even Though the company is in 3rd position with its number of subscribers, still managed to become the best network to offer high-speed mobile data. Each month TRAI publishes the average speed of each mobile network in India, in order to improve their service and to provide users with correct details.
TRAI uses their own speed testing application called MySpeed (TRAI) to get the exact details from users in each network. And uses the data to get the average speed that users are getting in each network. For the month of March, TRAI published the details from each network with average download speed as follows.
- Reliance Jio with an average speed of 22.2 Mbps
- Airtel with an average speed of 9.3 Mbps
- Vodafone with a speed of 6.8 Mbps
- Idea with an average speed of 5.6 Mbps
However, BSNL was not included in the list, since the telecom company doesn’t have a 4G network in all the circles. The company is providing the 4G service in only a few circles and as per the unofficial reports, users are getting 15 to 20 Mbps speed with BSNL 4G connection. To use BSNL 4G service, users need to upgrade their existing SIM with the new BSNL 4G SIM card.
Coming to the average download speed in each network, Jio remains the top provider to give the best 4G experience with its fastest connectivity. But other providers are far behind Jio and are not so much improving the speed from the previous month.
Airtel got 9.3 Mbps in March, whereas in the month of February it was 9.4 Mbps. Vodafone also made their position with the consistent speed of 6.8 Mbps for both February and March.
