As we know the Chinese mobile manufacturer Vivo has launched their new smartphone ,the Vivo S1 in India earlier this month and is already on sale in the country. Now, the Vivo S1 is getting a new software update in India. The smartphone launched at a starting price of Rs.17,990 and the latest update is tried to bring improved network performance, better camera functions, improved fingerprint recognition speed etc. Like most updates, it’s probably being rolled out in batches so you have to wait for the updated version if you haven’t already received it.
The Vivo S1 updated version is 1.6.17 instead of 1.6.13. The update is being rolled out over-the-air. The download size is around 353.37MB. This newest version provides incremental update and this incremental update fixes some bugs in the original software. The new version brings you a more stable system. The highlights of the updated version include it has optimized the fingerprint recognition logic to accelerate the recognition process and brings to have fixed abnormal power consumption caused by some third-party applications. It also brings to have optimized the compatibility of Wi-Fi networks and improved camera functions for better photo and video shooting experience.
We have already mentioned the price of Vivo S1 in the Indian market as Rs. 17,990 which is for the 4GB RAM/ 128GB storage variant. And the 6GB/ 64GB and 6GB/ 128GB variants are priced at Rs. 18,990 and Rs. 19,990 respectively.
As per the specifications, the Vivo S1 mobile features a 6.38-inch full-HD + Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080×2340 pixels. The handset is powered by MediaTek Helio P65 MT6768 processor paired with 6GB of RAM. It also features an in-display sensor for authentication. The connectivity options include Wi-Fi 2.4G + 5G, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, and Micro-USB with USB OTG support. The Vivo S1 is packed with a 4500mAh battery.
