Xiaomi launched a new mobile to their Redmi Series, the Redmi 6 Pro in the Chinese market. The main highlight of the handset is its 5.84-inch display with 19:9 aspect ratio. Some other notable features includes the dual rear camera setup and the dedicated microSD card slot which is now missing in most of the handsets. The Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro will be available at a price of CNY 999 (approximately Rs. 10,400) for the 3GB RAM, 32GB storage variant, CNY 1,199 (approximately Rs. 12,500) for the 4GB RAM, 32GB storage variant, and CNY 1,299 (approximately Rs. 13,600) for the 4GB, 64GB variant.
The actual sale of the handset will start on June 26th Tuesday at 10AM and it will be in China Only. The availability of the handset in India is not yet announced. The mobile will be available in Black, Blue, Gold, Pink, and Red colour variants.

Coming to the specification side, the Redmi 6 Pro bears the iPhone X’s notch design and features 5.84-inch full-HD+ display with 1080×2280 pixels resolution and an aspect ratio of 19:9. It also comes with a dual-SIM support which accepts Nano SIM card on both slots.It runs on Android 8.0 Oreo with company’s own MIUI 9 UI in top. The handset is powered by 2GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor with 3GB/4GB of RAM also with the Adreno 506 GPU. Coming to the memory side, the handset comes with 32GB and 64GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 256GB via microSD card with a dedicated slot.
Taking about the camera option, the handset features a dual camera setup on the rear side with a 12-megapixel primary sensor featuring 1.25-micron pixels, an f/2.2 aperture, PDAF, LED flash, apart from the 5-megapixel secondary sensor. On the front side, it features a 5-megapixel front camera, with AI Portrait mode and HDR. The new smartphone also has features such as AI face unlock, beautification, portrait, and voice assistant features.
Coming to the connectivity options on the Redmi 6 Pro include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n (dual-band 2.4GHz, 5GHz), Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The handset also bears sensors including an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, digital compass, gyroscope, infrared, and a proximity sensor. The Redmi 6 Pro is packed with a 4000mAh battery.
