Oppo launched their new mobile, the A83 in China last week. The phone comes with a Face Unlock feature like the one used in iPhone. The mobile comes with a price of CNY 1,399 which is roughly Rs. 13,700. The smartphone is already available in the Chinese market now and expected to launch in the International market soon. As per the current Chinese variant, the smartphone will available in Champagne and Black colours.
As we already mentioned, the Oppo A83 comes with a new facial recognition technology and it features a 5.7 inch HD+ LCD display with a resolution of 720×1440 pixels and an 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone supports dual SIM and it runs Oppo’s own Color OS 3.2 which is based on Android 7.1 Nougat. Spotting the new Facial recognition technology, Oppo claims that Oppo A83 can unlock the phone within 0.18 seconds using 128 unique feature points on the user’s face.
Coming to camera, the mobile features a 13-megapixel camera on the rear with an LED flash. On the front, the phone is provided with an 8-megapixel camera for selfies and video calling. The smartphone is powered by a 2.5GHz octa-core processor with 4GB of RAM. In case of memory, the mobile comes with an inbuilt storage of 32GB which can be further expanded up to 256GB via microSD card.
In terms of connectivity, the Oppo A83 supports 4G, 3G and it included Wi-Fi 802.11 /b/g/n, GPS, Micro-USB, Bluetooth 4.2, 3.5mm headphone jack, and Wi-Fi Direct. Regarding the sensors, the phone includes proximity sensor, accelerometer, and compass. The handset is packed with a 3090mAh battery.
